Troubleshooting

  1. Read the console. The last lines usually say why.
  2. Check disk use. A full disk stops most games.
  3. Check memory. If the game needs more than your plan allows, it will crash on start.
  4. Check Startup variables, especially the game version and jar name.
  5. If you changed a config file, undo the change or restore a backup.
  • Memory is the usual cause. Watch the memory graph while it runs.
  • A recently added mod or plugin is the next suspect. Remove the newest one first.
  • Check for a crash log in Files.
  • Make sure the status is running, not starting.
  • Confirm they use the exact address and port from the Network tab.
  • Check the game’s config uses the same port as the panel.
  • Check the game version. Players must match the server version.
  • Ask someone else to try, to rule out a problem on one player’s network.
