Startup and settings

The Startup tab holds the settings the game launches with.

  • Command: the launch command. It is built from variables and is usually read-only.
  • Variables: fields such as the game version, memory limits, or a server jar name. Change them here, then restart.
  • Docker image: some games offer several runtime versions, such as different Java versions. Pick the one your game or mods need. confirm images offered

If a value is not editable, the game’s template locks it. Ask support if you need it changed.

The Settings tab has:

  • Server name and description
  • SFTP details for file transfer
  • Reinstall server: runs the install step again. Back up first. Depending on the game, a reinstall can overwrite files, including config and world data.

How you update depends on the game. Some update on start. Some use a version variable in Startup. Some need you to upload a new file. Make a backup before every update, and read the game’s own notes.
